Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

Voss BBQ ships exclusively to the contiguous 48 US states. We don't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, or internationally yet.

How long does shipping take?

Grills typically ship within 2–3 business days and arrive within 5–10 business days via freight carrier with curbside delivery.

Is shipping free?

Free standard ground shipping on orders $499+. Under $499 ships flat $79. White-Glove inside-threshold delivery is a $99 add-on for premium models.

Assembly

How much assembly is required?

The cooking chamber arrives fully assembled. Standard assembly is the legs, wheels, hopper, and chimney — about 30 minutes with two people. Cabinet models add ~15 minutes for the cabinet base.

Do I need special tools?

An adjustable wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. Both are included in the assembly kit.

Warranty & Burn Pot

What's the lifetime burn-pot warranty?

If your burn pot ever fails — cracks, warps, burns through — we ship a replacement at no cost, for the lifetime of the original owner. Every model. No exceptions.

How is Voss different from Traeger?

Same hardware tier-for-tier, $100–$500 less, one extra meat probe per model, glass viewing window standard on Timberline (Traeger charges extra), induction burner standard on Timberline (Traeger charges extra), and lifetime burn-pot warranty across the entire lineup. Full comparison here.

Are Voss pellets compatible with Traeger grills?

Yes. Voss pellets (launching Summer 2026) are standard 1/4" hardwood pellets and are compatible with Traeger, Pit Boss, Camp Chef, and any other pellet grill.

Pellets & Fuel

What pellets does Voss recommend?

Any food-grade hardwood pellet works. We recommend 100% hardwood (no fillers) and have flavor-pairing guidance in the Wood Pellet Flavor Guide.

How much pellet does the grill use?

Roughly 1–3 lb per hour depending on temperature and outside conditions. Premium models with insulated lids use ~30% less in cold weather.

Tech & App

Is WiFi required to use the grill?

No. Every grill works fully offline via the controller. WiFi unlocks remote monitoring, recipes, and cook history but is optional.

Does the Voss app cost extra?

No. The Voss app is free, no premium tier, no subscription. Available on iOS and Android.

Returns & Financing

What's your return policy?

30 days for unused grills in original packaging — full refund. 14 days for used grills — store credit minus 15% restocking fee. Full policy.

Do you offer financing through Affirm?

Yes. Affirm is available at checkout. Payment plans from 3–36 months, 0% APR available for qualified buyers. The exact monthly rate is shown on each product page.

Outdoor Use & Weather

Can I leave my Voss grill outside year-round?

Yes — the powder-coated steel is weather-rated. We strongly recommend a grill cover (Voss covers launch Summer 2026, generic covers fit fine until then).

Does it work in winter?

Yes. The Hearth and Forge tier hold temp down to ~20°F ambient. Heritage Elite and Timberline with insulated lids hold temp down to 0°F.

Where are Voss grills made?

Designed in Austin, TX. Manufactured to spec by partner facilities in Tennessee and Vietnam. Final QC and warranty service is handled in Texas.
